“I learned early on that setting a table is so much more than just laying down knives, forks and plates. It is creating a setting for food and conversation, setting a mood and an aura that lingers long after what was served and who said what was forgotten.”
Often the focal point of a celebration or event is the table. It’s the location people gather to serve, share, and enjoy food and conversation. If we were to use an event in metaphorical terms and the space of the celebration is like a theater, the table, a stage, and the tablescape, the stage design the host of the event becomes the director, producer, and designer all rolled into one. A tablescape can be simple or elaborate, but consistently sets the tone, ambiance, and flavor of the event.
